Why We’re Effective

Our curriculum was originally built for BIPOC and immigrant women, who are underserved by traditional leadership training. Designed for talent facing sky-high barriers, the program fills crucial gaps often overlooked. The result? More impactful training for all employees.

Fix the Broken Rung is the brainchild of Amal Masri, an award-winning executive, keynote speaker, and author with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. As an immigrant woman of color who navigated the corporate world as a "triple outsider," Amal intimately understands the challenges faced by racialized and immigrant women in the workplace.

Amal's personal experiences, combined with her extensive research and expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, led her to found Fix the Broken Rung. The organization's mission is to enable young women of color and immigrants to level up into leadership and support organizations in accelerating their advancement.
